Leinster and Ireland back-row, Caelan Doris has been in the news this week with a new central contract from the IRFU and now a new brand ambassadorship with JFW Renewables, one of Ireland’s leading Solar Energy companies.

The Galway based company are familiar as partners of the URC coverage on Premier Sports and have grown to become one of Ireland’s largest solar PV suppliers, installing over 40 systems per week around the country.

Doris is a man of the west himself, hailing from Ballina, Co. Mayo. He has represented Ireland on 36 occasions and is a key part of the team as it begins its next cycle of the Guinness Six Nations in February and towards the Rugby World Cup in Australia in 2027.

He was named the Rugby Players Ireland Men’s Players’ Player of the Year in 2023, and was also named in the World Rugby Men’s Dream Team following this year’s Rugby World Cup.

“I’m delighted to become an ambassador for JFW Renewables, the work which they have been doing across Ireland in recent years to make our country more sustainable is incredible,” he said.

“I think as a nation, we’re becoming more and more aware of how important the environment is and how we can make changes now in order to ensure the future of this island for generations to come. I’m very proud to be associated with JFW Renewables and look forward to working with them to make Ireland greener.”

“It is brilliant to be associated with a superb young rugby player like Caelan,” added company founder and CEO Gearoid Whelan.

“Like our journey within the solar energy sector, Caelan has had a terrific start to his rugby career. We’ve been watching closely over the past few seasons as Caelan has announced himself on the world stage and made the number 8 jersey for both Leinster and Ireland his own.”

“All of us here at JFW Renewables are thrilled to have him on board and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for both him and this partnership.”

Doris is represented by Navy Blue Sports.
