Facebook activity increased by 41% in March over February, with 5,968 posts generating 1,048,547 public engagements – a 50% increase on the previous month.

This continues the resurgence of Facebook as a relevant channel for Irish sport.

12 months ago, in March 2025, there were only 613,000 engagements and even the high point of 2024, when there were 973,000, has now been exceeded.

The growth is widespread as well, with Cricket Ireland and Horse Racing Ireland both breaking into the Top 5 for engagement per post.
