Olytico’s November 2025 analysis of Irish Sport on Social Media covers 11,650 posts, 6.34 million public engagements, and a Troy Parrott inspired 27 million TikTok views.

Whilst activity fell across all platforms, X (-18%), Facebook (-15%), Instagram (-31%), and TikTok (-20%), engagements per platform increased significantly +155% on X, +62% on Facebook, +25% on Instagram, and a record 2.37 million TikTok engagements (+112%).

Ireland Football were the standout performers of the month, leading engagements per post on both X and Instagram.

The Men’s National Team dominated the analysis: their most-engaged X post surpassed 140,000 engagements, with the associated RTÉ footage exceeding 17 million views.

On TikTok, Ireland Football accounted for the top 15 most-viewed posts, led by the Parrott hat-trick compilation post, which has generated 4.4 million views and 410,000 engagements to date.

November 2025 Highlights on Facebook

 

 

Facebook activity fell 15% in November to 4,053 posts yet continued the trend we have seen across each social media this month by generating a 62% increase in engagements to 1,155,969.

The NIFL (521, -4%) knocked the League of Ireland (363, -42%) off their perch at the top of the Facebook activity charts.

The Ladies Gaelic Football account followed in third with 304 posts (+17%) as they witnessed one of the biggest upsets in All Ireland Club Football as St Ergnats GAC Moneyglass beat Kilmacud Crokes in their AIB GAA All Ireland semi-final.

 


Paralympics Ireland (54, +238%) congratulated Róisín Ní Riain, as she was named Performance Para Swimmer of the Year, and Dearbhaile Brady, as she picked up the Performance Pathway Athlete of the Year (Para Swimming) award at the 2025 Swim Ireland Awards.

 


Badminton Ireland (166, +141%) highlighted this electric rally featuring Rachael Darragh and Scott Guildea at the Irish Open.

 


Irish Rugby (1,877, +36%) topped the engagement per post charts, followed by the FAI (1,865, +309%) and Cricket Ireland (1,235, +682%).

Squash Ireland (1,672) once again topped the average engagements per 1,000 followers metric.

 

Cricket Ireland posted the most engaged with content on Facebook in November as cricket fans on the sub-continent looked forward to the start of the 1st Test between Bangladesh and Ireland in Sylhet – the post has generated close to 34,000 public engagements to date.
