Olytico’s November 2025 analysis of Irish Sport on Social Media covers 11,650 posts, 6.34 million public engagements, and a Troy Parrott inspired 27 million TikTok views.

Whilst activity fell across all platforms, X (-18%), Facebook (-15%), Instagram (-31%), and TikTok (-20%), engagements per platform increased significantly +155% on X, +62% on Facebook, +25% on Instagram, and a record 2.37 million TikTok engagements (+112%).

Ireland Football were the standout performers of the month, leading engagements per post on both X and Instagram.

The Men’s National Team dominated the analysis: their most-engaged X post surpassed 140,000 engagements, with the associated RTÉ footage exceeding 17 million views.

On TikTok, Ireland Football accounted for the top 15 most-viewed posts, led by the Parrott hat-trick compilation post, which has generated 4.4 million views and 410,000 engagements to date.

November 2025 Highlights on X

 

 

Activity on X fell 18% in November, but the 4,581 posts that were created generated 488,691 engagements, a 155% increase on the previous month.

The NIFL (554, -3%) topped the X activity charts as the new Football Manager 2026 game was released for fans to take their team to glory.

 

 

In second, the League of Ireland (472, -8%) celebrated the league’s role in the MNT’s success, and Ireland Football (391, +51%) were in third.

 

 

Cricket Ireland (246, +846%) saw their match in Bangladesh halted by a 5.6 magnitude earthquake.

 

 

Athletics Ireland (117, +113%) celebrated as Caitriona Jennings rewrote history at the 2025 Tunnel Hill 100 Mile – smashing the women’s 100-mile world record with a time of 12:37:04 in her first-ever attempt at the distance.

 

 

The Camogie Association (74, +76%) saw Giara Golden score to take St. Finbarr’s through to the AIB Senior Club Championship final.

 

 

Ireland Football recorded the highest average engagements per post on X at 908 (+330%), followed by Irish Rugby with 234 (+97%) and Munster Rugby with 71 (-4%).

 

Ireland Football topped the average engagements per 1,000 followers metric (1,094), as well as generating the most engaged with content on X in November, as Troy Parrott launched himself into Irish folklore.

The post has generated over 140,000 public engagements to date and the footage from RTE has been viewed over 17 million times.
