Leinster Rugby and Castore have unveiled the province’s 2025/26 home jersey this morning, marking a shift in how the club presents its identity across all levels of the game.

The four stars traditionally worn above the crest to mark Leinster’s Champions Cup victories in 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2018 have been removed from the home and alternate jerseys for the coming season.

It is being presented as a sign of a broader commitment to inclusivity and club unity, with the same kit now to be worn by all teams representing the province. That is a strong positive that it is not all about the elite team in the Men’s game, and is to be applauded.

It may also play well in terms of superstition and wanting something too badly, moving you further away from attaining it.

Rest assured, a fifth title is very much on the agenda for the team and the club.

The stars will remain in place on the dedicated European jersey to be worn in the Investec Champions Cup, the fixtures for which we have reported on this morning.

The new home kit, designed by Castore, will be worn across all Leinster Rugby teams — from the senior men’s and women’s squads to the age-grade and junior representative teams.

It will make its competitive debut in next month’s Vodafone Senior Women’s Interprovincial Championship.

Speaking at the launch, Leinster Rugby CEO Shane Nolan explained the thinking behind the updated kit design.

“This decision reflects our ambition to be representative of the whole club, across all teams and all competitions.”

“We are incredibly proud of our Champions Cup history and the stars will remain on our European jersey, but we also believe the home jersey should speak to and celebrate the full Leinster journey for our men’s and women’s teams, and of course our age-grade and junior rugby representative teams, past, present, and future.”

“There is no doubt that the landscape is changing. We are entering a period of huge opportunity and growth for the women’s game in particular, and we want to be ahead of that change as best we can.

This is just one example, and Castore have worked closely with us, as well as consulting our players. The new jersey represents us all.”

The new home jersey will be available to purchase online and in stores nationwide from tomorrow morning. The alternate jersey and new training kit will follow in the coming weeks.
