The Padel Federation of Ireland has renewed its headline sponsorship agreement with CUPRA Ireland for a fourth consecutive year.
Since the collaboration began, CUPRA has played a central role in elevating the profile of padel, while helping to foster a strong and inclusive community around the rapidly growing sport.
The Spanish performance car brand has established itself not just as a sponsor but as a strategic ally, bringing funding, energy and visibility to every level of the game in Ireland.
“Since the beginning of our partnership, we have witnessed the federation’s dedication to promoting the sport, fostering talent, and creating a thriving community of players and enthusiasts,” said Caroline Lawlor of CUPRA Ireland.
“The Padel Federation of Ireland has been a fantastic partner, demonstrating professionalism, vision, and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of their work.”
CUPRA continues as the primary sponsor of both the Irish National Padel Team and the national ranking Irish Padel Tour (IPT), providing support that spans prize money, team apparel, venue hire, travel, and logistics.
This investment underpins the professionalisation of the sport and ensures that Irish players can compete at the highest level both domestically and internationally.
The strength of the partnership is visible this week as Ireland’s National Team takes part in the FIP Euro Padel Cup in Madrid. Both men’s and women’s teams are representing Ireland on the European stage, backed by the resources and infrastructure made possible by CUPRA’s sponsorship.
The tournament, organised by the International Padel Federation (FIP), begins today with opening matches scheduled to follow the release of the Phase 1 draws.
“Our partnership with CUPRA has been transformative for padel in Ireland,” said Naomi Nicholl, President of the Padel Federation of Ireland.
“Their belief in the sport and in our mission has helped us grow the game around Ireland—from grassroots initiatives to international competition, CUPRA’s support is felt at every level.”
The impact of the collaboration can also be seen in the expansion of the Irish Padel Tour, which has increased its calendar of events, attracted higher participation, and brought the sport to major venues nationwide. These developments are helping to position padel as a serious contender in Ireland’s future sporting landscape.
This renewed partnership arrives at a time of sustained momentum for the sport, with plans for the first-ever Padel Irish Open already announced for November in Limerick, and Ireland’s presence on the Cupra FIP Tour growing year on year.
