The nominees for the 2025 TG4 Ladies Football Players’ Player of the Year Awards have been announced in the Senior, Intermediate, and Junior grades.

The winners will be revealed at the 2025 TG4 All-Star Awards banquet at The Bonnington Dublin Hotel on Saturday, November 15th.

Kate Sullivan and Hannah Tyrrell – who both starred in attack as Dublin claimed the 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Senior Title – have been nominated alongside Galway’s Olivia Divilly for the TG4 Senior Players’ Player of the Year Award.

Tyrrell landed the ZuCar Golden Boot Award as top scorer in the 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Championships with a tally of 6-28, which included five points (two from play), in the TG4 All-Ireland Final victory over Meath.

Sullivan also starred on TG4 All-Ireland Final day, contributing four points from play against the Royals, while she collected an impressive 5-13 in total across the TG4 All-Ireland series.

Divilly was hugely impressive for Galway, who lost out to Dublin at the semi-final stage, and the 2024 TG4 All-Star was top scorer for the Tribeswomen in Championship 2025, with a haul of 1-16.

All three players have also been nominated for TG4 All-Star Awards.

The Intermediate shortlist, meanwhile, is made up of players from champions Tyrone and Westmeath.

Tyrone, who landed the 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Title, has two forwards nominated – Sorcha Gormley (Player of the Match in the 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Final) and Aoife Horisk.

They’re joined on the shortlist by attacker Sarah Dillon from beaten semi-finalists Westmeath, who bowed out against Tyrone after extra-time in a thrilling game.

Dillon previously won the TG4 Intermediate Players’ Player of the Year Award in 2021, and all three 2025 nominees were recently named on the TG4 Intermediate Team of the Championship.

In the Junior grade, Louth forwards Kate Flood and Céire Nolan are nominated alongside Antrim attacker Theresa Mellon.

Flood, who was also nominated last year, is a previous winner of this award, having won in 2018. Meanwhile, Nolan received the Player of the Match Award following the 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Final victory over Antrim.

Mellon scored two points at Croke Park on Sunday, August 3rd, in defeat to Louth, and she enjoyed a fine season for the Saffrons.
The nominees in all three categories were selected by fellow inter-county players, who were not allowed to vote for their own teammates.
