Three has launched a new loyalty programme which will give advantages to users across its range of high end sponsorships including with the FAI and Irish Rugby.
The programme will be delivered through a brand new app and online at Three.ie/plus.
It will also include special offers from retailers including 20% off all purchases from Elverys and 30% off at Milanos restaurants.
The loyalty programme was being promoted at the Aviva Stadium for the Republic of Ireland Scotland match on Saturday though it is perhaps surprising that ads for the app are not yet obvious on any of the three main sites for Irish rugby, soccer and the 3 Arena.
Loyalty programmes are familiar through every retailer and O2 ran a popular advance ticket facility on which the new programme is based.
It increases brand affinity for customers and helps to tie business partners together around big events in a collaborative way which we at Sport for Business fully endorse.
To encourage downloads of the app Three are offering a trip to see U2 in New York as a prize to be drawn among those who download before June 24th.
Pre-sale tickets to gigs at 3Arena will be offered 48 hours before they go on general release and Three customers can also benefit from being fast-tracked through the venue, with 3Access queues at 3Arena.
In sport the brand has been running a number of ‘money can’t buy’ experiences around soccer such as a player mascot experience for Irish international matches.
There have not yet been developments of privileged access for Three customers at the Aviva Stadium but that is also a likely part of any renewal of deals with the FAI and Irish Rugby which will be going into negotiation shortly..
“At Three, we wanted to build the best loyalty programme out there, a loyalty programme as it should be,” said Elaine Carey, Chief Commercial Officer at Three and one of our 50 Most Influential Women in Irish Sport for 2015.
“By literally putting the best offers and access in the palms of customers hands, 3Plus is our way of saying thank you to our customers.”
