Connor Ellis
Connor Ellis is the Operations Director of Stats Perform. He has demonstrated outstanding career progression, rising in just seven years from a part-time Data Collection Analyst to Director of Customer Operations by the age of 28.
Over that time, Connor has played a central role in the evolution of Stats Perform’s operations, helping to refine workflows while never losing sight of the people behind the process.
Widely respected for his knowledge and collaborative approach, Connor has helped position the organisation strongly for the future at a time when data analysis is becoming ever more integral to sport. With major global events on the horizon, his influence and trajectory suggest that his impact on the industry will only continue to grow in the years ahead.
Connor got his leaving cert from Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí in West Cork before joining Cork City and then Limerick for a three year spell as a League of Ireland footballer.
His nomination read that “His progression has no limits, and he will continue to have more successes over the coming years.”

Our ambition from the start has been to create a network of people making a real difference within our industry.
Who should we be looking to for the next wave of excellence?
Over the coming weeks we will feature a run of interviews with those who have gone before, and we will continue to highlight some of those that have taken on a new role in the past year or two.
On March 18th we will start to name the 2026 intake.
Then in June we will gather once more in the offices of PwC to meet in person, share experience and forge connections that will be of real value.
And we will also be looking at additional ways in which we can help those nominated to enhance their career and build strong friendships across the sector, particularly in this the tenth year of the list.
