Cork made it three in a row in the Allianz Football League Division One final at Croke Park.  Leinster football showed its rude health with Kildare, Longford and Wicklow taking the other three divisions.

Finally for the weekend, Punchestown got through it’s week of top class, weather hit racing with China Rock springing a 20-1 surprise in the rescheduled Tote.com Gold Cup.  Despite being down to five races on Friday, the Ladies Day crowd was up by 2,000 at a figure of 27,000 though betting turnover was again well down.
