The Ireland Women’s National Team is returning to SuperValu Pairc Uí Chaoimh in June.
The side will play the final game in the group stages of their 2025 UEFA Nations League campaign against Slovenia on Tuesday, June 3rd, at the Cork GAA stadium. The use of the stadium was was sanctioned by the GAA Management Committee on Saturday.
This will be the second time the side has played in the Cork venue, following last year’s 3-1 victory over France in front of 18,399 spectators.
The Girls in Green have already played Slovenia away and hosted Türkiye ahead of a doubleheader against Greece in April. They will complete their League B, Group 2 fixtures away to Türkiye and then home to Slovenia.
“We are looking forward to bringing the Ireland squad back to Cork in June,” said Head Coach Carla Ward.
“All of our players and staff talk so positively about the welcome they received in Cork and the atmosphere created in Páirc Uí Chaoimh, so we’re hoping to experience that again in front of a packed stadium.”
The WNT has previously played in Turner’s Cross and Flower’s Lodge but enjoyed their best result when beating World No. 2 France in Páirc Uí Chaoimh in July 2024. This will be the eighth full international they have played in Cork.
UEFA sets the kick-off for the Slovenia fixture for 18:00 to ensure that all final group-stage games start simultaneously.
Ticket details will be confirmed in due course.
