Conor Higgins – Guild eSports
Conor Higgins works as a Partner Services Manager on the David Beckham owned Guild eSports Team in London, a role he took up in November 2021.
After graduating in Economics and Sociology from UCD in 2015 he worked with Navy Blue Sports in Dublin for a year before heading to London.
He joined the IMG intern programme in their highly regarded golf division before moving to the HSBC account at CSM Sport and Entertainment, working on the HSBC Rugby Sevens Series and Wimbledon tennis partnerships for two years.
It was this experience and familiarity with HSBC that led to him joining British Cycling, where the brand was a lead partner during the pandemic when much of the sports industry was put on hold.
The opportunity to jump into the rapidly growing world of esports presented itself last year when Guild Esports was looking to recruit talent with a traditional sports partnerships background and asking them to apply that in an esports environment.
He currently works on three of their partners – Bitstamp, Samsung and HyperX.
Higgins is a keen golfer as a member of Elm Park in Dublin who he has represented on multiple interprovincial teams.
