Kinetica Sports has added to its sporting portfolio by becoming the Official Sports Nutrition partner of Cycling Ireland.
The deal will run for an initial three-year term. The recent success of Irish cyclists competing on a global stage, combined with the growth in participation numbers on a national level means that cycling is in a strong place at present.
It was boosted again last week with news that additional money has been made available for the Sport Ireland National Sports Campus where an indoor velodrome is high on the list of next stage developments.
Kinetica Sports have established themselves as a trusted partner to some of the world’s leading athletes. It has existing partnerships in place in Irish sport with Swim Ireland, Dublin GAA, Rowing Ireland, Connacht Rugby and Niall Horan’s Modest Golf.
Their expertise in nutrition will lend itself to all disciplines across Cycling Ireland to extract that extra one per cent in athletes that so often delivers a personal best.
“We are delighted to officially launch the partnership with Kinetica having had such a positive start to the relationship,” said Cycling Ireland CEO Matt McKerrow.
“As the National Governing Body for cycling, we insist on partnering with brands who deliver quality products. From grassroots to elite level cyclists, we believe Kinetica represent cycling in all forms catering for entry-level cyclists all the way up to those competing at the very top level.”
“As a diverse and inclusive brand, we are thrilled to be able to partner with the Governing Body for cycling in Ireland”, added Sorcha Madigan, Business President of Kinetica.
“The athletes and staff have put in tremendous work to have such a successful year despite the difficult circumstances, from a green jersey in France to incredible participation numbers throughout lockdown we are happy to be working with such an ambitious and inclusive organisation.”
