Emma Butler

Emma Butler is the National Club Development Officer with Cricket Ireland.

She joined on the initial wave of graduates of the On the Front Foot leadership programme delivered by Cricket Ireland, and has become “a driving force for change,
women in sport and delivery of an inclusive sports programme.

Having graduated from OTFF, Emma is now a mentor on and driver of the programme supporting women within Cricket reach for new heights.

She was credited as the driving force behind the 2024 Championing Female Leadership Conference which took place at Croke Park in September 2024 and was a massive success and will be leading on the 2025 Conference.

The initiative is creating a sustainable women in sport network that not only encompasses Cricket but sport across the whole island of Ireland.

A graduate in Sociology from UCD, she is a player and a coach at Clontarf Cricket Club and earlier this year completed a Diploma in Project Management from the UCD Professional Academy.

Nominations for 2025

Nominations for this year’s 30 under 30 are now closed and have been significantly oversubscribed. We will open up the nominations for 2026 early next year.

Criteria

The criteria for submission are that the person should be working within the sports industry or in a sponsorship or agency capacity that brings sport to life and that they should have been born in or after 1995.

We are naming one new 30 Under 30 individual in our Sport for Business Morning Bulletin from Thursday, March 20th, 2025

On the morning of Friday, May 23rd, we will gather once more in the offices of PwC to meet in person, share experiences, and forge valuable connections.

We will also examine additional ways to help those nominated enhance their careers and build strong friendships across the sector.
