Sport for Business is pleased to release this morning the 2025 wave of the Sports Impact Monitor, which Onside Sponsorship produces with feedback from Sport for Business members.
This year’s research highlights once again the strength of the relationship between our blend of sporting bodies and sponsors.
It highlights the most attractive sporting properties, which will be familiar, as well as the sports that have shown the strongest growth in attractiveness to partners over the past 12 months. This one is really interesting. The research shows the ups and downs of a total of 28 sports.
We have examined the relative optimism in the sector this year, with interesting gaps between the more positive outlook of sponsors and the somewhat less optimistic outlook among rights holders.
As a new section this year, we have explored the sector’s understanding and willingness to embrace and adapt to Artificial Intelligence.
This is fascinating as a first look and will feed into content we will be running for Members across the summer in advance of our Future Proofing Irish Sport event on August 29th.
The results of the survey will be distributed later today to the members who participated in the study from across the Sport for Business membership, and we will highlight particular aspects on Sport for Business over the coming days.
