In the infographics below, we have ranked each organisation across a range of metrics on each network, including the most active, the most engaged with, and the most engaging content, as well as engagements per 1,000 followers, where possible.
It is important to note that this analysis is based on publicly available data. It does not include any analysis or insight on paid or promoted content. When % figures are used (unless otherwise stated), they refer to the previous month’s figures.
We are also looking to engage with each social media manager responsible for the accounts to plan the next stage in developing this ever-popular monthly look at what is happening. Thank you to the majority who have already been in touch. We are looking to schedule an online meeting to discuss this in the next few weeks.
September 2024 Highlights on TikTok
238 TikToks (-25%) were posted by Sport for Business members in September, which resulted in 528,596 engagements (-34%) and 7.9 million views (-20%).
This completes all four channels, which dropped off in September after Paris 2024’s dominance in the previous month.
Last year, we saw 205 posts on TikTok, so the platform’s growth remains solid.
The United Rugby Championship (3.5 million), Ireland Football (2.58 million), and Leinster Rugby (481,439) topped the view counts.
The URC topped the activity charts with 60 posts. Their most viewed content was ‘goose step’ with ‘The Rugby Guy’.
