Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium has launched a striking new campaign celebrating the newly refurbished venue and its unique place in Irish sporting and social life.
Titled “Celebrating Shelbourne Park – The Stadium Experience”, the campaign highlights everything that makes the stadium one of Dublin’s most exciting nights out.
The launch follows a double win at the Irish Construction Excellence Awards, recognising the impact of a €5 million redevelopment.
The new campaign shifts focus to what fans and visitors can now enjoy at Shelbourne Park. Whether that be the racing, food, history, atmosphere, or all combined, all under one roof.
The campaign, which rolled out this week across radio, digital, and on-site media, is built around a bold, rhythmic message:
A stadium of excitement.
A stadium of stories.
A stadium of enjoyment.
A stadium of surprises.
At its core, the campaign positions Shelbourne Park as far more than a greyhound track, it’s a complete stadium experience.
Guests can enjoy the fun and excitement of the racing, dine in the popular 400-seater restaurant, unwind on the South Lotts Terrace, and explore the venue’s rich heritage in the Shelbourne Park Museum, which celebrates nearly 100 years of sporting history.
Tim Lucey, CEO of Greyhound Racing Ireland, said the campaign marks a major milestone in repositioning the stadium.
“This is a celebration of everything Shelbourne Park has become—a place where sport, entertainment and heritage come together to create unforgettable experiences. We’re proud to reintroduce it to a wider audience with a fresh look and a clear message.”
The redevelopment, supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, modernised the stadium while preserving its character. New features such as the 1927 Lounge and an upgraded Food Hall have added to the venue’s appeal, while accessibility and visitor comfort have been significantly improved.
The campaign is expected to drive increased footfall throughout the summer, with a calendar full of race nights, themed events, and community engagement initiatives.
We will also be hosting a Sport for Business Social event at the venue later this year.
