We had a great morning at the Sport for Business Sponsorship Showcase today.

Eleven opportunities across multiple sports and areas of interest were presented to a room full of agency and brand professionals.

We asked a panel of them to give us feedback one line of which is included below under each of the presentation recaps.

First up was the Baminteen initiative from Badminton Ireland.

“Have identified a problem that a brand can help them solve. Great to have something to rally around in a partnership.”

Then it was the turn of DSD Events presenting partnership opportunities around the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon.

“Really clear, what they are asking for, what they offer. Really genuine.”

Goal gave us a sense of what it would be like as a partner of the Goal Jersey Day.

“Very good, enough info to take to a client for a long list review.”

Spontza introduced itself to the market as a platform for playmakers.

“Good video visual that was exciting and made you take notice.”

Elite Events launched the Network Cycle taking place in May 2024.

Really enjoyed the visual presentation and use of content.  Clear concept and opportunity to engage.

Athletics Ireland presented the soon to be rebranded Fit4Life programme.

“Excellent emotive video piece. Nice stats on the target audience.”

Then we hear some expert advice on what makes a great partnership from Kim Kirwan of Onside and Shireen McDonagh of Legacy Communications.

The second wave of presentations licked off with Grah Clifford telling us about the Sanctuary Runners and pitching a brand partnership with the Sanctuary Swimmers.

“Lexicon/list of words on what members feel is brilliant. A great add-on to values”

Volleyball Ireland focused on the sustainability options that exist in a very well-focused sport.

“Some striking stats in relation to diversity and participation. Really interesting.”

The Irish Chess Union pitched the European Schools Championship taking place at UL next year and were the only presenters to talk about Twitch and the new kind of Cool that Chess represented among younger audiences.

“Full of nice ideas. Feel like I learned something.  I think this could be great for the right sponsor.”

The Northern Ireland Football League gave us a data-rich look at a number of opportunities they have.

“Really engaging, high energy, great stats, lots of positives.

The session rounded out with Cycling Ireland looking at a youth focus on cycling proficiency.

“Superb insightful presentation and programme.”

We will be covering each of the presentation opportunities in greater depth on our Sponsorship Marketplace over the coming weeks.
