It is only part way to the full picture but LOITV has released a snapshot of which fans in the SSE Airtricity First Division have been most keen to take up the LOITV Season Pass to watch their team, and which have been the most active in dipping in and out through buying match passes.

Cork City is the giant in the division in terms of a fan base determined by social media following and heads the list in both categories despite a struggling start to the season. They currently lie in ninth place with four points from their first six games but with a social media base on twitter of 44,000 followers, they are comfortably the most followed team in the division.

Athlone Town sit proudly atop the division and have added 10 per cent to the size of their social following after a good run but they are still only on 3,600, and have recorded the lowest number of season pass sales.

Shelbourne FC and Treaty United take second and third in season passes ahead of Galway United, Bray Wanderers, Cobh Ramblers
UCD, Wexford, Cabinteely and Athlone.

Galway and Bray climb the charts to second and third when it comes to individual match passes which cost €5 each.

The season pass that gives access to all the games in the League, with ball tracker technology-driven cameras in the grounds, costs €79.
