Chloe Farrell
Chloe Farrell is the Senior Sports Officer at Fingal County Council Sports Office and acting as the Principal Sports Officer.
At just 29 years old, Chloe has built an impressive resume in the sports industry. She began her career in UCD Sport Centre while studying Sport Management and Coaching at Technological University Dublin.
After graduating, she progressed to the role of Duty Manager at DCU Sport. Following her time at DCU, Chloe worked with Special Olympics Ireland as a Club Development Officer supporting and creating clubs in the Eastern Region.
After 18 months in this role, she was promoted to National Club Development Coordinator, where she successfully supported bringing clubs back to activity post-COVID.
In June 2022, Chloe took on the role of Sport Development Officer at Fingal County Council Sports Office. In this position, she coordinated programmes and events, and further developed locally led plans for sustainable physical activity initiatives in Fingal communities.
This includes community exercise programmes, inclusive initiatives, and supporting flagship events with Sport Ireland, such as Women in Sport Week.
As Senior Sports Officer, Chloe leads a team of Sports Development Officers to provide sports and physical activities for Fingal communities, ensuring a lasting legacy from community initiatives to keep people active and engaged in sports.
Her current focus is on supporting and implementing the Fingal Local Sports Plan, Active Together (2024-2029), which aims to increase participation in sports and physical activities across the county for everyone.
In her spare time, Chloe can be found coaching basketball, from her U10s and U12s teams to running a Special Olympics club, Swords Basketball SO Club, increasing participation for adults with an intellectual disability.
She achieved great success in the summer of 2023 when she coached the Special Olympics Ireland ladies’ basketball team to a gold medal at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin.

Criteria
The criteria for submission are that the person should be working within the sports industry or in a sponsorship or agency capacity that brings sport to life and that they should have been born in or after 1995.
You are invited to submit names and a summary of why an individual should be recognised below.

We will be naming one new 30 Under 30 individual in our Sport for Business Morning Bulletin from Thursday, March 20th, 2025
In May, we will gather once more in the offices of PwC to meet in person, share experiences, and forge valuable connections.
We will also examine additional ways to help those nominated enhance their careers and build strong friendships across the sector.
The Sport for Business Membership comprises over 300 organisations, including all the leading sports and sponsors, as well as commercial and state agencies.
