Irish-founded ticketing technology company Tixserve has secured a significant contract renewal with the Football Association of Wales, extending a partnership that has transformed the way Welsh football supporters access tickets and engage with the national association.
The new five-year agreement will see Tixserve continue to provide its digital ticket distribution, data acquisition and fan engagement services to the FAW through to 2031.
Since the partnership began three years ago, the platform has enabled the FAW to gather valuable supporter data, strengthen direct engagement with ticket holders and deliver operational efficiencies across matchday operations. The technology has also supported the growth and management of the association’s Red Wall membership programme through Tixserve’s digital membership functionality, creating new opportunities for communication with supporters and activation opportunities for commercial partners and sponsors.
The renewed agreement comes as Tixserve continues to expand its presence in the UK market from its recently established Bristol office and adds to growing momentum within football, where the company is increasingly working with clubs across the Premier League and English Football League.
The partnership will also see the introduction of additional features designed to enhance the supporter experience. Among the first major deployments will be the Tixserve-powered FAW app, which will be used during the 2026 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, beginning on June 28th.
Announcing the extension, John Young, Chief Finance and Operations Officer at the FAW, said the agreement reflects the organisation’s commitment to innovation and supporter experience.
“The Football Association of Wales is delighted to announce a new long-term agreement with Tixserve, building on the strong relationship developed between both organisations in recent years,” he said.
“As a forward-thinking organisation committed to delivering the best possible experience for supporters, the FAW recognises the importance of modern, innovative ticketing solutions. This renewed partnership with Tixserve will help ensure fans continue to benefit from a seamless, secure and digital-first ticketing experience for years to come.”
Patrick Kirby, Managing Director of Tixserve, described the FAW as an important milestone client in the company’s growth.
“We were delighted when FAW became our first association football governing body client three years ago and this multi-year contractual renewal will enable Tixserve to consolidate our strong collaborative relationship with the FAW team at a time when Tixserve is beginning to win new business with Premier League and EFL football clubs,” he said.
The renewal is another strong endorsement of Irish sports technology on the international stage. As governing bodies and clubs continue to prioritise direct relationships with supporters, digital ticketing platforms are evolving beyond access control into powerful tools for fan engagement, data capture and commercial activation.
For Tixserve, retaining a national governing body client while simultaneously expanding into the Premier League and EFL market represents an important step in scaling its business and strengthening its position within the increasingly competitive sports technology sector.
Patrick kirby of Tixserve will be one of our guests at next week’s Future Proofing Sport event in Dublin.
