Cycling Ireland has launched a new management system for all its coaching, leadership and instructor courses online.

Making sure that there is a solid digital trail of coaching qualifications and other important elements like up-to-date vetting and safeguarding is a vital part of the coaching universe.

The system called TahDah is aimed at individuals, clubs and tutors across Cycling Ireland and it incorporates the courses themselves, enrolment, payment and communication

“These online processes enable a person’s full and transparent history of all qualifications as the platform automatically tracks learners’ journey through assessment tasks,” said Cycling Ireland Coach Education Manager Tom Causer.

“The functionality will be of benefit to individuals, clubs, tutors, and Cycling Ireland.”

“Other benefits include reduced administration time, depository of digital resources moving away from printed material, being able to award CPD points for learning undertaken and potential for self-graded e-learning.”

“Soon, there will also be additional functionality for coach profiling made visible through the platform on completion of qualifications and other important credentials such as Garda Vetting/Access NI, safeguarding and the coach’s charter.”

Cycling Ireland offers a variety of training courses, including a Foundation in Cycling Coaching Course which provides coaches with a full introduction to cycling coaching.

The Cycling Ireland Sprocket Rocket Coaching Course is aimed at coaches who want to develop their existing knowledge and skills.

There are also courses available for leadership roles such as Trail Cycle Leader, Mountain Bike Leader as well as Night Riding.
