The Camogie Association has officially launched the 2025 Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Camogie Championships, renewing its rallying call for supporters to fill Croke Park and help set new attendance records for the women’s game.
The launch comes on the back of a rising trend in attendance with 30,191 attending in 2023 before a small dip again last year.
With this summer’s final set for Sunday, August 10, the Association is urging communities across the country to come out in force and support their county teams.
“Let’s fill the stands,” said Camogie Association President Brian Molloy. “Camogie has been at the heart of national conversation in recent weeks, now is the time to turn that talk into action. We’re calling on supporters to back our players, not just in spirit, but in person.”
When asked what would be a ‘realistic’ ambition, Molloy stood tall and repeated his desire to fill the stands. “Why should we limit ourselves to a number when that would be unheard of for the Hurling or Men’s Football finals.”
“We have enough registered players who love the game to exceed the capacity, and that’s without all the family and friends, the volunteers and those committed to great sport.”
“We put on three All Ireland finals for €30 and there will be underage teams from every county out on the pitch as well.”
“Let’s make this a landmark year for Camogie.
With the second teams switching out of Intermediate and Junior competition and into an U23 format, this means that there will be six different counties taking part on Finals day.
As part of its commitment to growing the game, RTÉ has reaffirmed its long-term support, confirming that the 2025 Senior, Intermediate, and Premier Junior All-Ireland Finals will be broadcast live on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player under a new multi-year deal.
This ensures continued free-to-air access for fans and further cements camogie’s growing presence in national media.
“Visibility is key,” Molloy added. “We welcome RTÉ’s renewed commitment and believe this will play a major role in sustaining momentum behind the sport.”
Defending Senior champions Cork will lead a challenging Group One alongside Tipperary, Limerick, Wexford, and Clare, while Group Two features heavyweights Galway, Dublin, Waterford, Derry, and Kilkenny.
Intermediate contenders include Westmeath, Meath, Offaly, and Antrim in Group One, and Kildare, Kerry, Down, and Carlow in Group Two.
In the Premier Junior Championship, Armagh, Laois, Louth, Roscommon, Tyrone, and Wicklow will battle for national honours.
Quarter-finals in both the Senior and Intermediate Championships will be staged at Croke Park on Sunday, July 6, followed by a series of semi-finals throughout July, leading to the All-Ireland Finals in August.
Speaking at the launch, Johnny Dunne, CEO of Glen Dimplex Ireland, reinforced the company’s continued support:
“Camogie is more than a game, it’s a celebration of community and tradition,” he said at today’s launch.
“We are proud to support these incredible athletes and the values they represent.”
The launch event also featured high-profile players from across the country, including Meabh Cahalane (Cork), Katie Power (Kilkenny), Ciara Hickey (Galway), Lorraine Bray (Waterford), Laura Leenane (Tipperary), Orlagh Phelan (Offaly), Alice Walsh (Laois), and Nicola Woods (Armagh).
Alice Walsh expressed the support they have for their management team saying that she would do anything for Pat Collier. “If he told me to back a three legged horse in a race I’d do it,” she said, somewhat stealing the show at the top table of player commentary.

SPORT FOR BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE
Go big or go home as they say. Brian Molloy is right to aim for a full house. Unless you believe, then how can anyone else. Making the Camogie All Ireland Finals day a landmark on the sporting calendar like the Hurling Final is a reasonable ambition. Go for it.
WHAT’S UP NEXT?
The Championship is up and running with four Senior games scheduled for next Sunday in Derry, Tipperary, Kilkenny and Limerick.
