Cian Feerick

Cian Feerick is a Content and Commercial Executive at Her Sport and a key leader within its content team.

A graduate of Dublin City University, he holds a degree in Business.

With a strong instinct for the stories people need and want to hear, Cian has helped grow Her Sport’s community to almost half a million people, while contributing to coverage of more than 1,000 female athletes over the past 18 months.

His work has elevated the voices of female athletes, advocated for women in sport, and contributed to cultural change. In 2025, he put huge energy into amplifying the voices of camogie players as they campaigned for the right to choose between skorts and shorts.

Cian connects athletes with fans, keeps audiences informed, and helps ensure women’s sport in Ireland remains visible every day. He is also responsible for the popular Her Sport “5 Stories You Should Know” series.

Women’s sport was a relatively new space for Cian when he joined Her Sport, but he has quickly developed into one of the emerging experts in women’s sports media in Ireland. He has a bright future ahead and much more impact still to deliver.

Nominations for 2027

Nominations for our 2026 listing are now closed, with over 100 nominations received, proving the depth of young talent in the sector.  We will reopen again in February 2027 for nominations for next year’s list.

Criteria for This Year

The criteria for submission are that the person be working within the sports industry, or in a sponsorship or agency capacity that brings sport to life, and that they be born in or after 1996.

Peers and colleagues were invited to submit the names of individuals and a short summary of why each individual deserves recognition.

Our ambition from the start has been to create a network of people making a real difference within our industry.

In June, we will gather once more in PwC’s offices to meet in person, share experiences, and forge connections that will be of real value.

And we will also be looking at additional ways in which we can help those nominated to enhance their career and build strong friendships across the sector, particularly in this, the tenth year of the list.
